i had taken home loan of 21 lks for 25 lks home, if registration is1.5 lks, how is 4%service tax calculated? how much does it come in this case? thnx in advance

    How You get the loans of 21 LKS. When there is registration is of Rs 1.5 Lks.

    The question is some what unrealistic. PRoperty worth Rs 25 lks. And regisrtation is rs 1.5 lks?
    Be reasonable.

    I think you want to ask that you are buying a home for 25 Lakhs, taken a home loan of 21 lakhs, Paying stamp duty of 1.5 lakh for Registration and want to know how much service tax are you gonna pay on that.

    1) You will be paying service tax on the loan processing fees charged by bank and this will a negligible amount considering the total transaction value.

    2)If you are buying a home from a builder then you might be paying a service tax on services renedered by the builder, but this is dependent on many factors, like your builder may declare that out of the sale price of 25 lakhs, 20 lakhs are towards land and 5 lakhs are towards construction, so you will be paying service tax only on the construction charges i.e 5 Lakhs.
